I bring my Biomat whenever I get a massage. Depending how high I want my core temperature raised I use the Quantum cover if I am going mainly for far infrared but if I want to raise my core really high the therapists usually don't like massaging me when I am sweating like a pig.
I recommend the waterproof pad and not using the cloth if people are doing longer session that 30 minutes. It takes most people more than 30 minutes when the mat is on a medium setting to start sweating. So, the cloth cover with maybe a towel on it can be fine.
I strongly recommend using water proof pads if giving massages. Many massage therapists use sheets and the sweat goes right through it. I think it is always good to have at least 3 to 4 of these waterproof pads so you always have fresh one and don't have to run and wash and dry it between clients.
When the core temperature of the body is heated up and the muscles are warm, it makes it easier to get a deeper tissue massage. I recommend asking the clinic if you are going to get a massage if you can bring your Biomat on the table. It usually takes about 25 to 30 minutes for it to heat up all the amethyst stones so I don't plug it in right when I start my massage. I want it all fired up so I'm laying on a hot mat from the start.
If the quantum pad is on the Biomat it can heat up quicker but I always put the waterproof pad on top as I don't want oil all over my quantum pad.
